How do I join?

See the page titled Membership.

In summary:

  1. Click on Membership in the top menu.
  2. Click on “Become a Member” in the left hand menu.
  3. Fill out fields in the form that appears and click “Submit”. Remember to note your user name and password for future access to the site.
  4. You will be taken to the confirmation screen which will confirm that you are an on line member of PLDG. Please ensure that your membership details are kept up to date. This can be done by clicking on “Update Details” under the Membership tab.
  5. In future you will be asked to log in with your user name and password if you wish to renew your membership, update your details, access the online library or register for a PLDG function.
  6. If you have any queries concerning the site or would like to provide us with feedback please click on Contact and then “Feedback”.

The PLDG is always looking for speakers who are prepared to present a paper at a PLDG seminar.

What happens to funds generated by the PLDG?

The PLDG is a not for profit organisation. It is committed to the insurance industry by arranging and facilitating seminars which are aimed towards the sharing of information relevant to the property and liability insurance risks. Seminars providing opportunities for members to network with their colleagues in the insurance industry.

Funds received through memberships and sponsorships are allocated to room hire expenses, food and beverages costs, administration/stationary costs and the occasional social event.

Is a membership fee payable?

Membership to the PLDG is absolutley free. The PLDG’s monthly seminars are also free.

Through the generosity of our sponsors Colin Biggers & Paisley, C&A Insurance Support Services Pty Limited, LawImage Lexdata and GPL Forensic Solutions, the PLDG Committee has decided that membership fees are no longer required. This means you can attend the PLDG’s monthly seminars and obtain access to the latest seminar presentations and papers at no cost.

Is there an AGM?

An AGM is held annually in February.

What are the benefits of being a PLDG member?

The benefits of PLDG membership include:

  • The opportunity to attend monthly educational seminars presented by industry leaders across the spectrum of the insurance industry who specialise in property and liability insurance issues
  • Opportunities to network and develop relationships with other members
  • Access to the PLDG website library which provides downloadable presentation papers, committee news and other industry links.

Is corporate membership available?

Corporate membership is not available. Membership is only available on an individual basis.

What happens if I forget my user name for logging onto this website?

If you forget your user name or password, contact the website administrator via email for your user name. Click Contact on the top menu bar.

What are the privacy and security policies of this website?

Please refer to the Privacy & Terms of Use Statement located at the bottom of each page on this website.
